Last Wednesday was my first last day of school, some of my kids left me for the summer because they were 100% ready for second grade. We had a fun filled week with a pajama day, movie day (on the projector...they LOVE this) and finally a party day. I was doing ok until one of my kiddos read me a note she had written. She said she was so sad I was moving to Hutto because she was hoping I would be her second grade teacher. Then I had about 5 girls crying uncontrollably. It was hard saying goodbye to them and some of my kids from last year. I promised them I would come visit next year. The kids in Hearne have touched my heart and I will never forget them!! I still have 10 of my lovely children and I am enjoying my last 2 weeks with them.

My Mom came down Friday to help us with our garage sale. Love you Mom! We went out to eat at The Piano Bar (our favorite local restaurant) and then we headed home to price all of our junk. We woke up at 6 for the big sale and had garage sale fanatics waiting in the street. We encountered some interesting people and some very nice people...we were so excited to sell all of our junk. One person's trash is another person's treasure.

Aaron and Blake got to go to Ft. Worth for the Cubs Rangers game with my Dad. I think Dad planned this to get out of the garage sale! Just kidding Dad. Aaron had a blast and his Cubs even won. Mom and I went out to eat with Mrs. Alloway at Z Tejas because Tori was working that night. We had a lot of fun and even talked about our next mother-daughter vacay!

Sunday was Aaron's 28th birthday. I planned a small surprise get together. Some of our friends came over and we had Salt Lick BBQ, Cake and played some redneck golf. I will post pictures when we get to Hutto, I left the camera bag there..ooops.

This weekend is the BIG move...YAY!! We are so excited to officially be in our new house and out of our "dirty old rental."

Furniture and Fun!!!

Friday was field day at school. It was sooo much fun. I wore my basketball shorts, field day shirt and tennis shoes to school ready to compete. My class always wins all the games in PE so they were so excited about field day. There were so many games and the kids had a blast. I loved playing with my kiddos...they thought it was hilarious when I challenged them in the potato sack race and when they were able to soak their teacher! About 2:00 the rain came...it started as a sprinkle and then turned into a down pour! I managed to line my kids up and quickly walk into the school. We were all drenched!! A rain out wasn't in my lesson plans so I put Peter Pan on the projector and we chilled out! It was a great day!!

Friday night we met friends at our fave little Mexican restaurant for dinner. After we ate, we went to our house for some Pictionary and Dominoes. Saturday morning Aaron woke up early to meet the guys for golf in Taylor. He loves the course because it has nine holes and the beers are only $1.50!!! I think the beer is his favorite part. They ended up playing 27 holes; meanwhile, the girls and I went out for lunch and shopping!! We all went out for dinner and then music in Walburg at the Mercantile!

It was a great weekend!
Oh and the best part of the weekend was when our kitchen table and ottoman was FINALLY delivered!!! YAY!!!!!!! Have a great week!!

Take me out to the ball game..

The Round Rock Express baseball park is right down the road from our new house. It is such a fun place to watch a game! One Monday, we met Jeff, Kari, Ryan and Dustie to watch the Express take on the Nashville Sounds. It was dollar hot dog night...needless to say, we ate our share of the dogs. Tuesday I worked out EXTRA hard to make up for the hot dog binge. We are really lucky to have such great friends that live so close. We try to meet up about once a week! I posted some pics from our night at the ballpark below!

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend Aaron and I stayed in Rockdale to get all of our garage sale stuff together. We have SOOO much stuff that we haven't even looked at this year, so we are de-junking our house before the big move.

Sunday we met Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa in Waco for a late Mother's Day Lunch. It was great seeing them and Waco is a great half way point.

May Day...

We had a wonderful weekend! Friday, we headed to Hutto and went out for Mexican food and margaritas with our friends Jeff, Kari and Blake. After dinner, everyone came over to our house and we had a great night hanging out on the porch by the fire pit.
The next morning, Aaron and I continued our hunt for the perfect desk. We had looked at Target, Wal-Mart, Office Max, Office Depot, IKEA, World Market, Hobby Lobby, Rooms To Go, Roomstore, Ashley, Crate and Barrel....and then we found one we LOVED at Pottery Barn!! Yay!!
We love to try new places to eat so we used the Urban Spoon app and found a little Italian restaurant in Round Rock called Ginos. It was wonderful! We went driving around and found a great little hang out in downtown Round Rock called Juniors. They had a wonderful patio and a band...it was a lot of fun!!
We completed our weekend by working in the yard on Sunday. It was sunny and 80 degrees...absolutely PERFECT! We made 3 trips to Lowes, 1 to Home Depot and 1 to a local rock place. We planted flowers, lined flower beds and added new mulch. I posted some pictures below!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Love, A&L
